A mixture of urban textures with a Bumblebee Tower near Surf City and Topsail Beach, NC gives this photo a very moody feel.
Topsail Island was one of several sites for the US Navy's Project Bumblebee in the 1940's. These towers dot Topsail Island and are local icons for visitors and residents.
This image is part of John W. Golden's "Rovinato"(Italian for "ruined") Series. John uses a combination of photographs of urban textures and various subject matter to create an image that in the end looks almost painterly.
