Many years ago when I was tearing my hair out over a difficult watercolor, a hair fell into the wet paint. As it dried, a frosty white line formed in the dark paint and sparked my interest. Edge of the Sea is a giclée print of a painting done in the technique that grew from that serendipitous hair. Enhanced by the use of sea salt, the hair forms sea foam and shell shapes that I develop with negative and positive strokes.
Edge of the Sea is 5x12 inches and printed on Arches Hotpress Watercolor with archival inks. Bagged in a clear bag with flawboard for support.
